How to use RAW to JPG

Convert iPhone ProRAW DNG to JPG

iPhone ProRAW photos use the DNG format. The converter renders a standard image from the RAW data, then encodes the chosen output. That render may look different from Apple Photos, especially for brightness, color and HDR. A JPG copy is useful for sharing; the DNG remains the file to keep for further adjustments.

Supported camera file types

The decoder supports DNG, Canon CR2 and CR3, Nikon NEF, Sony ARW, Fujifilm RAF, Panasonic RW2, Olympus ORF, Pentax PEF and RAW extensions. Support depends on the camera model and compression method. An extension being listed does not mean every camera file can be decoded.

JPG for sharing, TIFF for editing

RAW to JPG produces an 8-bit rendered image with JPEG compression. Selecting TIFF instead creates a full-resolution 16-bit RGB render that can be opened as raster content in Photoshop or Illustrator. Neither result replaces the RAW source. For large camera files, start with a small batch and use direct folder saving on a desktop.

Common questions

Does this preserve the original RAW editing data?

No. A render is a new image. Keep the RAW or DNG for later white balance, exposure and other RAW adjustments.

Why does the JPG look different from Apple Photos?

The converter’s RAW rendering can differ from Apple’s ProRAW processing, including tone, color and HDR handling.

Can I convert 1,000 RAW files on a phone?

The queue accepts up to 1,000 inputs, but large RAW batches can exceed a phone’s practical limits. Start smaller, keep the device awake, and use a desktop with folder saving for large libraries. Inputs above 200 MB and RAW images above 120 megapixels are rejected.
